Children and youth at risk

The Ministry of Justice announces the opening of the call for small projects "Aftercare for incarcerated youth" under the children and youth at risk programme where special schools, prisons, other state and local government institutions and non-governmental organisations of Estonia are expected to apply for funding of new ideas and initiatives for offering aftercare to children and youth released from special schools and prisons.

Institutions and organisations of donor and beneficiary states or Russia may participate in projects as partners.

Under the call for proposals, projects that improve efficient work methods and practices in use, introduce valued and recognised practices in Estonia, pilot new cooperation models and programmes, provide improvement activities to specialists who provide aftercare, exchange experience and obtain new knowledge, establish and develop cooperation networks are supported. Projects should be targeted at children and youth aged up to 26 released or to be released from special school or prison, legal guardians of children and youth released or to be released from special school or prison, employees of special schools and prisons. 

The total amount of the call for proposals is 474 650 euros.  Applications can be submitted in the amount of 5 000 euros to 150 000 euros.

The deadline for submission of applications is January 20th, 2014.
