The Ministry of Justice has announced the opening of the call for small projects " Community-based crime prevention measures " under the children and youth at risk programme where state and local government institutions, county governments and non-governmental organisations of Estonia are expected to apply for funding of projects that prevent crime committed by children and youth. Institutions and organisations of donor and beneficiary states or Russia may participate in projects as partners.
Within the framework of the projects, activities that focus on carrying out local community-based crime prevention initiatives, which increase common cooperation networks, improve the knowledge and skills of specialists and citizen associations and develop administrative capabilities for implementing strategic crime prevention, will be supported. The projects are expected to develop an efficient networking system or to promote the good practices of an existing networking system that supports the implementation of community-based crime prevention and to provide the best integral possibilities for youth, including cooperation at regional as well as local level.
The total amount of the call for proposals is 295 146 euros. Applications can be submitted in the amount of 5 000 euros to 60 000 euros.
