The conference "Evidence-Based Practice in Working with Children and Youth at Risk: The Norwegian Experience" was organised by the Ministry of Social Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Research and took place on October 3-4, 2012 in the National Library of Estonia, Tallinn.
The main objectives of the conference were the following:
- To introduce evidence-based programs and approachesthat are implemented in Norway in various contexts such as child welfare services, child mental health services, education, youth work, juvenile justice and prevention of violence in close relationships.
- To share effective and promising practices as well as experiences from Norway to provide support to Estonian applicants in responding to EEA and Norway Grants open calls for grant proposals.
- To discuss the best practices in integrating services for children and youth at risk and enhance cooperation and networking between different sectors.
