The opening conference of the EEA programme „Integrated Marine and Inland Water Management“ will be held on June 20th, 2013 in Tallinn, Swissôtel.
The conference will introduce the content of the programme including its pre-defined projects and open calls for proposals and will also facilitate partner search for partnership in projects.
The conference is aimed at all friends of the environment including representatives of potential applicants like environmental organizations, local governments and research institutions.
The programme „Integrated marine and inland water management“ will contribute to achieving a good environmental condition of Estonian marine and inland water bodies. This goal is supported by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein with 6.9 million euro. The pre-defined projects of the programme will prepare a programme of measures of Estonian Marine Strategy, a proposal for a climate change adaptation strategy and a model for processing water data, also the availability and quality of spatial data will be improved. The open calls will finance protection of water body-associated species and habitats, development of ecosystem approach and focused marine research.
